I've always been a fan of buying local. And since I've hit my 30's (and passed them) I've become a fan of wine. So it was only a matter of time before I became a fan of local wines. And Maryland has some tasty ones! Berrywine/Linganore (the oldest in the state) and Solomons Island are two of my personal favs, but since I started enjoying what MD has to offer, wineries have exploded in the state. There are A LOT that I've never tasted and it seems that each year 3 or more have sprung up. As of this date there are 41 wineries. 41! When I was first introduced to Maryland wines back in the early 2000's there were only 8. My how times have changed!
So my question is...can I sample every winery that MD has to offer by next May's Wine in the Woods at Symphony Woods in Columbia?
I've got at least 2 friends and 2 family members (they don't know it yet) that will be joining me on this journey. For the record, I in no way, shape or form claim to be a wine
I think this journey will be fun. If nothing else, I'll get to see parts of Maryland that I've never seen before. And nothing like a day or two away from the house! So join me and let's see what Maryland has to offer its wine lovers!
